Kevin Downs to head development for
RedTail Mountain

JUNE 14, 2007 MOUNTAIN CITY, TN One of the area's premiere golf communities has made a hole in one with the addition of Kevin Downs, a professional in planned golf resorts. Downs was recently named development manager of RedTail Mountain, a 720-acre private golf community located in Mountain City, TN. He'll work with the RedTail team to ensure the golf and leisure facilities, as well as their amenities, meet the highest standard of excellence. 

 With more than eight years of experience in development and operations of Greg Norman golf course communities, Kevin is the perfect fit for the RedTail Mountain team," said Jim Pace, managing partner. "Kevin knows how to get things done."

As RedTail's development manager, Downs will be responsible for oversight of the residential mountain golf community.  He'll work with engineering, land planning, construction management, marketing efforts, sales events, employee recruiting and training. Kevin will also coordinate with local, state, and federal officials during each stage of development.

Downs came to RedTail Mountain from Tennessee National, a Greg Norman golf course community in Loudon, TN, where he worked as the project manager. While in Loudon he served on the Visitors Bureau Board and worked with Habitat for Humanity. He was also involved in the development of Greg Norman's acclaimed Shark's Tooth Golf Club in Panama City Beach, FL as the project engineer.

In his spare time, Downs enjoys training for triathlons, hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains and cycling. He also coached club volleyball at UT and is a fan of all college sports .
