RedTail Mountain to Host Fall Festival
SEPT. 6, 2007 MOUNTAIN CITY, TN Area residents are invited to attend RedTail Mountain's first Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 23 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at RedTail's golf course in Mountain City, 20 minutes northwest of Boone. Admission to the event is free, and the day will be filled with activities for the whole family.
"RedTail wants to be a good neighbor, and we hope this event will provide fun and fellowship for those who attend," said Kevin Downs, development manager. "We encourage folks in the community to come and see what we're all about."
The afternoon of fun begins at 1 p.m. with a performance by popular local band deja Vu. The group is sure to please the crowd with their renditions of traditional pop music and classic oldies. Throughout the day, Cowboy's BBQ of Mountain City will serve BBQ plates for $5.25 each and sandwiches for $3.50. Attendees will even have the chance to win one of several door prizes during the festival.
There will be free activities for the children, including various craft stations and massive inflatable games provided by Jump Inc. of Boone. Children will also have the opportunity to learn some simple jewelry-making skills from local artist Jean Ann Savery.
RedTail Mountain is a 720-acre private golf community boasting a par 72, 18-hole course designed by Dan Maples. The newly-renovated course is open to the public and features 400 feet of elevation change and remarkable mountain vistas.
