Just a short drive to Boone, Blowing Rock or Mountain City, the area around RedTail Mountain is steeped in history with spectacular scenery and vistas at every turn. Shopping, arts and culture and a bustling university town offer a varitey of things to do for young and old. If its Nature's splendor your prefer, its all around.
MSN City Guides recently voted nearby Boone as one of 'America's 10 Best Outdoor Towns.' The town was chosen for its pristine setting and the wealth of activities it offers; rafting the French Broad, hiking the Appalachian Trail or skiing Sugar Mountain. Also mentioned are a few of Boone's more low-key offerings, where you can grab a latte or plate of southern fried chicken.
